Homeschool Project Inspires Julie*Ann Handmade Goods to Design Personalized Braille Pendants
Rome, NY (PRWEB) February 14, 2007
The new Braille collection at julie*ann handmade goods includes initial pendants, first name pendants and special charms for moms that feature children’s initials using birthstone appropriate Swarovski crystals. Other designs feature holiday and special interest pendants with words in Braille type like “love” and “hope”. They are sold at http://julieann.etsy.com
The collection was inspired by a homeschool study of Helen Keller. “We were fascinated with the beauty of Braille”, says the independent designer behind julie*ann handmade goods, Julie Dutt. It has turned into an exciting new line of unique Braille jewelry. A portion of every sale is donated to the American Foundation for the Blind, a national nonprofit organization that provides support, resources and more. The pendants and charms create an awareness for those affected with vision loss. It also looks cool. People will notice the jewelry and want to know more.
